 About Valentines day!Back in ancient Rome, there was an emperor named Claudius II. He didn't want soldiers to get married because he thought they would be better fighters if they didn't have families. But Valentine, who was a priest, believed in love and marriage. He secretly performed marriages for soldiers anyway. When Emperor Claudius found out, he was very angry and put Valentine in jail. While Valentine was in jail, he became friends with the jailer's daughter. They talked and laughed together, and Valentine even healed her when she got sick. On the day Valentine was supposed to be executed, he wrote a letter to the girl and signed it "From your Valentine." That's where we get the idea of giving valentine cards today! Valentine's Day became an official holiday later on, and now people all around the world celebrate it by giving cards, flowers, chocolates, and other special gifts to the people they love. It's a day to show kindness and appreciation to those we care about!
